The Freilich Foundation was established in 1999 after a generous donation to the Australian National University by Mrs Valmae Freilich and her late husband, Mr Herbert Freilich. Mrs Freilich remains an active member of the Freilich Foundation's board, takes a keen interest in the direction and development of the Foundation, and frequently participates in Freilich Foundation events.
